Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s strong determination was to give back an offering to his birthplace by continuing to bring in a change, to the remote village Venkata Raghava Puram (new Ramapuram). The Akkineni Janmabhoomi Development Trust, set up by ANR to develop Ramapuram - where his parents lived and other siblings were born — and the nearby new Ramapuram where he was born and brought up after his parents’ migration is actively involved, in the construction of individual household toilets and roads that were a distant dream for the villagers. The Trust has even constructed a bridge that has later been named after the man himself, as "Akkineni Varadhi".
Annapurna Charitable Trust takes pride in serving the needy by providing necessities such as primary education. The Trust has been founded with a noble thought that an education is the utmost need.
